“An Ezra Edelman film about the baseball player, Curt Flood, who challenged baseballs reserve clause in 1969. It’s a powerful and beautifully crafted film capturing the complexity of the man and the times. We shot the Bob Gibson interview which is one of the cornerstone interviews in the doc. Side bar: I grew up watching Flood play for the St. Louis Cardinals. While I admired Flood, I idolized Gibson. He was the most feared pitcher in the major’s in the 1960′s. Ezra’s interview with Gibby was pure gold and a career highlight for a kid from St. Louis.” – Terry Stewart
